In partnership with Peace Corps Peru & the Café Femenino Foundation

Peace Corps Peru: The USU Center for Community Engagement entered into a formal partnership with Peace Corps Peru in 2016. Students will be working alongside a Youth Development Peace Corps volunteer to offer support to communities on youth-led initiatives. We will also be helping start a girls soccer league in partnership with the Peace Corps Peru youth development program. To learn more about Peace Corps Peru, visit: https://www.peacecorps.gov/peru/

The Café Femenino Foundation provides funding to support grant requests from women living in poverty in coffee producing countries of the world. The foundation has been working with the CECANOR fair trade coffee cooperative in Northern Peru since 2005; the program is the largest and most robust to date. Women have identified food security as a high priority community need. USU students can assist in addressing this need through school community gardens.
